Can you imagine what your life would be like without your mobile device? Without being able to be at all times connected to different applications that allow you to be in direct contact with your friends or family?

The future of IoT looks very promising, with endless devices connected to each other, with disruptive technologies that enhance our user experience and even, sometimes, our life.

What is IoT?

Internet of things is nothing more than the interconnectivity of different devices and / or computers machines, objects, animals or people, which are capable of being provided with unique identifiers and the ability to transfer data over a network without the need for interaction between human or human. They have the ability to transfer data over a network without the need for human interaction.

Consultant Frost & Sullivan has presented a study analyzing the markets for devices related to IoT. According to the aforementioned consultancy, this sector will experience an annual growth of 20.3% from last year 12,440 million IoT devices worldwide to about 45.310 million IoT devices in 2023.

As we can see, this is a big change. We live almost permanently connected to all kinds of devices that also have all kinds of information about our behavior: Where we are at every moment, where we live, where we usually go out, buy, eat … A lot of information that sometimes we are not conscious.

A clear example of this ongoing connection is that, by the minute, the world sends 16 million messages over the Internet, according to a report by the World Economic Forum. This fact only highlights the relationship between devices and users.

Several examples of IoT are:

Smart home appliances: Refrigerators, washing machines …

Smart cities

Autonomous cars

It is clear that IoT is the future. What will support many companies and many jobs in a few years.
